For Kylie

Kylie just turned 4! I can't believe how fast the time has gone by. I wanted to dedicate this post to some of the best times of my life... watching Kylie grow up!

Some fun information and thoughts on Kylie:

Kylie is so obediant but curious at the same time. She remembers the rules and will follow them, but inside she is itching to explore a little but her exploring is much more subdued than most four year olds. She also makes sure that all of the other kids are following the rules too, but if someone is doing something that might be breaking a rule and looks like fun, she will timidly follow along. I think that she must have a very interesting internal battle during these rebellious moments!

She loves to learn about being a mom and loves to do "super hero things" with her dad. She will ask me how to do something because she wants to be able to do it for her kids when she is a mom. She wants to go to a "mommy's meeting" with me so that she can learn how to be a mommy! But at the same time, she is playing super heros with Miki and making her princesses in her princess coloring book into super heros with swords and fire coming out of their hands.

She will debate everything and anything and never feels that she is wrong. But if she is finally convinced that she might possibly be wrong, she will be quick to concede and apologize for any arguements. I think that this is mostly out of guilt (or possibly fear of punishment) because she will think about it for a long time afterwards and can sometimes have a hard time going to sleep because she is worrying so much about life (she got that from me!) She has a fantastic memory and loves playing memory games that her dad makes up for her.

She makes us laugh with her funny knock-knock jokes and silly song lyrics. Kylie LOVES to sing and dance. She has a beautiful voice and can remember the lyrics and melody after the first time she has heard a song. She is pretty shy around people outside of her family and close friends, but when she has to get up and sing in front of people, she will do it, no problem. But she never looks like she is enjoying herself. When faced with a situation like that (or like when she got to meet the princesses at Disney World) her face is stone-cold. You would think that she was completely miserable. But really, inside she is jumping up and down with excitement. She just doesn't show it... so much like her father!

Kylie is the best big sister. She is patient and loving with Sadie. She shares her toys, space and time with her sister. If Sadie is fighting for a toy that Kylie has, Kylie will just give it to her because she wants Sadie to be happy. She is a peacemaker.

Kylie is so loving, funny, and supportive. She is such a great blessing in my life and for our family. She means everthing to Miki. She has him wrapped around her little finger. He loves his girls more than anything. Miki and I hope that Kylie will always know that we will always love her and that we are so proud of her; and her Heavenly Father is proud of her too!
