4th of July

We went to a tri-ward bike parade for Independance Day this year. We had just moved here and didn't really know anyone, but we love the 4th of July holiday and needed to try and take in all of the festivities.

Miki had just gotten to El Paso that morning. After driving from San Antonio all night, he spent most of the day trying to catch up on his sleep. The girls and I braved this bike parade alone.

We got to decorate the bikes, try a bike obstacle course,

eat yummy watermelon,

Kylie got her face painted,

and Sadie just walked around (mostly through mud puddles.)

Later that night, Miki joined us for the fireworks. One of our church buildings is right next to a golf course that was shooting off fireworks. All of the families gathered in a big field and had front row seats for the beautiful event. Kylie says that the 4th of July is her favorite holiday.
