San Diego

This July we were able to go on a fun vacation to San Diego. Miki's parents and sister lived out there (they have since moved to Hurricane, UT) and our good friends the DaValles. Miki hadn't started his new job yet, so we thought it would be a perfect time to make the 10-hour drive to the beach and to visit our family and friends.

We spent the first couple of nights at the DaValles. Needless to say, no one got any sleep, there was too much fun to be had. We loved visiting with them, watching the kids get reaquainted, and meeting the new babies! Thanks for so much fun Brandon and Rebecca!
We spent one day at the park playing soccer and flying the kite.

The next day was spent at the beach. We all ended up a little burned even after applying sunscreen over and over again.

We then headed over to Martin and Mimosa's for the next couple of nights. The girls love seeing their grandparents and visiting Moya is always a treat for them. We can never get enough of the walks along the beach at night. We also enjoying swimming in their pool a couple of times. This was actually the first time that Kylie swam by herself without floaties. She loves to be in the water! Sadie, not so much.
We also went to Legoland. I would highly recommend this theme park for families with kids between the ages of 3-9. The rides are all geared for this age group. There were only a couple of things that Sadie was too small for.
I also loved that whenever there was a long line, the parents waited in the line and the kids got to play with Legos in a fenced in area adjacent to the ride's line. The kids were never bored. What a great idea!
Funny that my shirt is the same color as this ride!

Saying goodbye before we head back to El Paso. We sure love these kids! Thanks for a fun time everyone!
