Christmas 2011

Our family enjoyed having Christmas fall on a Sunday this year. We got up and opened our stockings, had breakfast and then opened presents all before our 11:00 am church meeting time. We got ready for church and enjoyed Sacrament meeting filled with wonderful musical numbers, talks and of course the most important part remembering our Savior as we took the sacrament. This was an amazing way to help us remember the true meaning of Christmas amid all of the presents, decorations and commercialization.
I hope that we can feel this same wonderful Spirit each Christmas no matter what day it falls on, but bring the Savior into our lives and help our girls understand His life, example, and love.

Below are many of the pictures that we took of the girls opening presents, spending time with family and enjoying the holiday together. Christmas Eve pajamas! They were all matching this year.

This is the best picture I could get with all three girls in it. Lanie was just too tired to cooperate.

Opening up stockings with Grandma Mimosa.
Sadie opening up her VReader and VReader stories. She is also wearing her new apron. All of these were from Grandpa and Grandma Cain.

Lanie admiring her new Elmo toy, also from Grandpa and Grandma Cain. She LOVES Elmo, and sings right along with him every day.

Enjoying the morning with Christine, Martin, Grandpa Martin and Miki.

We are glad you came to spend Christmas with us Uncle Marty and Aunt Chrissy!

Lanie's very own cellphone. She loves to play with ours, so we thought she would love this one. Not so much! She still would rather play with our phones. Opening one of my many marvelous gifts, a scarf, gloves and hat from Miki and the girls.
